The time is here for our Hokkien Harvest team to head to a new ministry area in SE Asia. They leave FRIDAY, April 28 12 hours ahead of USA CST) and will return on MAY 2. A lot of prayer has been invested in this particular opportunity. Thanks for joining us in prayer.
Several years ago, we traveled to this area to better understand the culture and needs of the people. It was a new cultural experience for us. Some local workers there shared about challenges in the past regarding persecution and religious liberty for Chinese people.
We were royally escorted through many communities to get a personal view of communities among these people. There was a lot of poverty and need for educational assistance. The Chinese children and families were beautiful with a blended Hokkien and local culture. Local Christians there were praying to the Lord of the Harvest for more workers to minister full time among the people. We met a young couple who both came from traditional Chinese religious backgrounds. They had accepted Christ in their teenage years and are now serving in ministry among their own people. The young mother shared that her father was still serving as a religious medium in their community. Our desire is for families to come together to know Christ as Savior and Lord.
PRAY WITH US . . .
♥ God is at work. God has HIS timing. God loves these people! Pray with us as the Hokkien team mingles and loves the people there.
♥ Pray that their eyes will be open and their minds clear to be able to discern the TRUTH. Many religious groups exist in these communities. There is a lot of spiritual warfare.
♥ God has already prepared this team to enter this ministry field. Pray for local workers to be raised up to serve in this area.
♥ Pray for a leader among these people in this country to lead out in establishing a local Hokkien Harvest network to reach into Hokkien communities.
♥ Pray for an outpouring of God’s Spirit to reign in this community that will bring about a Spiritual Awakening among the people.
♥ Pray too against forces and challenges that would keep people from following Christ.
We can’t wait to report about Hokkien Happenings from this mission trip. Thank you so much. Keep on praying!
