Hokkien Testimony #47

Hokkien Testimony #47

Today we welcome you to the 47th testimony in our Hokkien Harvest series. Each week we have different people from different churches share their stories with us. Today Pastor James Lim interviews Mr. Ma Guang Han. Let’s listen now to his Hokkien story. An English summary is also provided below.

Mr. Ma Guang Han’s testimony:

I started to go to church as a child because the teachers would give us candy when we attended. And Christmas was also a very special time when we would receive treats and gifts. So I had the habit of going to church each week. However, when I was older I would hang around with friends instead of going to church. I later married and my wife little by little led me back into church. When I was young I did go to church a lot, but at that time did not accept Christ. In my 30’s I accepted Christ and I also had nose cancer. As I was going through cancer treatment I would read the Bible. When I was told that I had cancer I wasn’t afraid. I had already received Jesus as my Savior, so I had to turn it over to Christ. I really did place my faith in God. There were also a lot of brothers and sisters in Christ who were praying for me and that definitely strengthened my faith. I wasn’t afraid to face death. I knew that if I did die, my family would be cared for, so I didn’t worry. I put everything aside and turned it all over to Jesus.

I went through cancer treatment for about two months, and it was not easy. If I was awake I was in pain. At night because of the pain I couldn’t sleep, and it was even difficult for me to eat. I underwent radiation treatment for my cancer. They didn’t use chemotherapy.  At first my nose started bleeding, and my wife suggested that I see a doctor. However, I didn’t think much about it and wanted to just ignore it. We prayed about it, and finally did go see a doctor. When the doctor examined me, he felt there was no real problem. However, my nose continued to bleed so I had to follow up with doctor once again. I am thankful that my wife continued to push me to see the doctor. The second time when the doctor examined me he discovered that it was cancer but thankfully it was in the early stages. So they immediately began my cancer treatment.

It was during my cancer therapy that I really began to read my Bible, pray and draw closer to the Lord. Every day people from my church would come to visit, encourage and pray with me. Going through my therapy I had a lot of takeaways and it’s really difficult for me to express all that I felt. As I read my Bible, little by little I began to grow in my understanding. As Pastor Lim said, I also have the feeling that there are times in our lives when we encounter a crisis or difficulty that the Lord uses these experiences to draw us closer to Him. Sometimes we are so busy and if we don’t take the time to rest and reflect, we may not even feel that we need God. I know that at times when I get overly busy with my work, I may have the tendency to push God to the side a bit. As Pastor Lim stated, our lives have peaks and valleys, so sometimes we are doing great and are healthy, but at other times we may encounter sickness. In the good times we need to praise the Lord, and in the difficult times we need to cling to Him. Without a doubt, going through this difficult time with cancer has strengthened my faith.

Since going through cancer treatment I have continued to pray and grow in Christ, and I am healthier now. Since I have to work on Sunday, I attend the early Hokkien service from 9 until 11 am. I personally don’t have any particular ministry. However, as Pastor Lim said, that if we make ourselves available to God then He will use us. Even though my family is Christian, my wife’s parents are not Christians. They are Buddhist.

Christ has changed my life, and one area that I have noticed is that before Christ I wasn’t necessarily positive or hopeful about things in my life. However, after accepting Christ I feel that anything is possible. When we meet Christians you can see the hope. There is a difference in their lives. Life is important, family is important, health is important and we as Christians see things differently. So now my faith is definitely stronger.

I feel that God has given me a new beginning, and I want to find ways to serve Him. I actually hope that I can change jobs so I will have more time to serve the Lord. I also want to use my testimony to help others. When I meet cancer patients who have gone through nose cancer like I did, I share my story with them and encourage them to accept Christ. Early on when I accepted Jesus I wanted to share my story with others; however, after going through this cancer diagnosis and treatment I have an even greater desire to share about Jesus with those around me. People who are in the hospital and are hurting and going through cancer treatment need encouragement and support. And of course people in their homes also need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. So I have the opportunity to partner with my church in sharing the gospel.

God has especially blessed our family in the life of our daughter. She really had trouble studying in school. And when she was about 13 a lady in the church suggested that we pray for wisdom for her. The good news is that this year she was at the top of her class. As Pastor Lim said, if we just criticize our children and keep on talking to them about their grades, they often rebel and become discouraged. However, we prayed for her and God answered our prayers.

My wife and I usually have prayer together before we go to bed. This is an opportunity to not only pray for our family but also pray for the salvation of my in-laws and friends. Prayer really can change the heart and life of a person. We can pray for people and God begins to prepare their heart. Then when we share Christ with them they are ready to trust in Jesus. My entire family is Christian. Praise the Lord. And my family is all involved in church. In fact, my younger brother is a pastor.

I grew up going to church, but I think sometimes, like my wife, when people come from a non-Christian background and accept Christ, they may be more passionate about their faith.

Pastor Lim shares:

I do believe that some people coming from non-Christian backgrounds may be more passionate about their Christian faith when they accept Jesus. However, we all know that we must first realize that we are sinners and Christ died for us and wants to be our Lord and Savior. We realize that if we just trust in ourselves and what we can do that we don’t have enough strength and power to live a successful life. With Christ we have eternal hope. When I trust in Jesus, I am blessed. This is an individual personal decision that we must make. Some may say that they believe in Jesus and are a Christian because their mother and father or someone else is a Christian. Yes, but this is not something that is just passed down to us or something we inherit. Genuine faith is one were we personally encounter Jesus. This kind of faith allows us to grow and mature in Christ. We pray for God’s mercy in the life of every person.

It’s amazing to see how God has blessed you with a Christian family and a wife that was so passionate about her faith that she led you back to church and to a genuine faith in God. I know God has healed you and I believe that in the future God will continue to use you in even greater ways.

Through Mr. Ma’s testimony we see that God is good. This Lord that we speak of is not just good for Mr. Ma and his family; he also desires to show goodness to your family as well. And Jesus also desires for you to receive a new life. Indeed in illness he walks together with us. If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then I invite you to follow me as I pray.

Lord Jesus, I am so grateful to you because you are my Lord and Savior. You want to save us not just in this moment but for eternity. We request that you now help us. Once again we come before you and admit that we are sinners. We need your precious blood to cleanse our sins. We need for you to come into our hearts. At this time we ask you to forgive our sins and come and live in our hearts to be our Lord and Savior.  We want you to give us a new life and in the midst of darkness for you to bring us new hope and strength. Thank you, Jesus. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

May the Lord bless you.

Hokkien Testimony #46

Hokkien Testimony #46

Today we welcome you to the 46th testimony in our Hokkien Harvest series. Each week we have different people from different churches share their stories with us. Today Pastor James Lim interviews Mr. Philip Tan. Let’s listen now to her Hokkien story. An English summary is also provided below.

Mr. Philip Tan’s testimony:

Early on I was a Taoist and then I joined my brothers and became a Buddhist. I really can’t say that I received much from my life as a Buddhist, and after becoming a Christian then I really could see the difference that Christ offers. It’s not the same at all. As Pastor Lim says, a major difference is in the life transformation for the Christian. For me, I can also say that another difference is the joy that Christ brought into my life. I can talk about happiness, but that is just a temporary feeling. Joy is something that is ongoing and long lasting. Another difference is that each day I can experience a life where I don’t worry. As Pastor Lim said, the Lord fills us with joy.

Sometimes people ask me if there really is a difference in the Christian life. Before I accepted Christ I had a bad disposition, temper and not a lot of friends. I was very young when I started working. Eventually I became a Taxi driver. I have to admit that the income of a Taxi driver isn’t all that much money. It is different from working in the business world. A taxi driver really has to be disciplined and in control of his money, since things are so tight.

I do have a family, and while I was in business my wife and I did have our conflicts. At times when I was out, she assumed that I was having an affair, but that was not true. She was also ill and caring for three small children, so things were not easy for her. Also, when I began driving a taxi, in one year I had three accidents. I had a friend, Allen, whom I would drink coffee with and share my problems. He told me that he would ask his pastor to pray for me. However, when I heard this I wasn’t really happy. Since childhood I didn’t have a very good feeling toward Christianity. However, since I had this problem with car accidents, I was willing for him to pray for me. I had to do something. On a Sunday I accepted Christ. And it was that week that I was to face some challenges regarding a car accident. And amazingly enough all was taken care of. It really was amazing. I hadn’t been baptized yet, but I attended church each week.

When I was a child I was interested in playing an instrument, but didn’t really advance and learn much. However, now as an adult I really had a desire to get better and use music to serve the Lord. During this time, my wife began to show mental issues. She would taunt me. After accepting Christ she wasn’t really positive about it; however, things got worse and it was as though she went insane. I was afraid that she might even commit suicide. She was also very strong. I just cried out to God, because I didn’t know what to do. At this time I no longer worshiped idols. As I said, I just cried out for God to help us. He is real and he did give me peace. Sometimes my wife would go to church, and at other times she wouldn’t attend. She said that she believes in Christ, but she hasn’t very passionate at all in her faith. My prayer today is that one day my wife and I will come together with one heart before the Lord. As Pastor Lim said, we must believe that in Christ one day she will be healed.

As for me, after I accepted Christ my attitude and my temper really changed. My attitude toward my wife and children was completely different. My wife could tell it, but didn’t say anything. My bad habits of smoking and gambling also changed. I had done this for years. I had the habit of smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. I know some say that giving up smoking is so difficult, but with the Lord’s help it is possible. Later, then I made the decision to follow Christ in baptism. As far as my children, early on they would go to church, but then they quit attending. I am still praying for them. As Pastor Lim reminded us, the Bible tells us that if we believe in Christ then our family can also come to Jesus. I am praying for my family to also trust Christ.

During the time that I have driven a taxi I have encountered some real challenges. However, every time God has provided an answer for me. It really is amazing. God has helped me every time that I have faced these financial challenges. God is good.

Pastor Lim shares:

Brothers and Sisters, as we have listened to Mr. Tan’s story, we know that God is very personal and comes into our lives to help us as we face challenges. Jesus opens a way for us when there seems to be no way that we can solve our problems. We need to believe that Jesus is the true Lord and God in our lives. What we need to do is to receive Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. Jesus will live in your heart to be a blessing and help for you. If you desire to trust in Jesus, then please follow me as I pray.

Dear Jesus, I thank you. You are the genuine Lord and Savior.  I know that you want to save me. At this time I come before you and ask you to forgive my past indiscretions and sins. I want to trust in you to be my Lord and Savior.  Please come into my heart, so that I can depend on you to deal with my life issues. I want to depend on you so that my future will be brighter. Thank you, Jesus. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

May God bless you.

Hokkien Testimony #45

Hokkien Testimony #45

Today we welcome you to the 45th testimony in our Hokkien Harvest series. Each week we have different people from different churches share their stories with us. Today Pastor James Lim interviews Sister Le Jia. Let’s listen now to her Hokkien story. An English summary is also provided below.

Sister Le Jia’s testimony:

As Pastor Lim said, people can tell by my accent that I am not from Singapore, but from Xiamen, China. I was born there. From birth, no one knew it, but I had a heart condition. However, I really didn’t show any symptoms until I was about nine years old. When I began to have issues, you could see it in my eyes and my body and then I would faint. Then they would take me to the hospital. If no person was around to help, I would sit down and try to get my breath until I felt better. They x-rayed my chest and were able to determine my heart issue. I grew up in a Christian home, so I really didn’t think about much of anything. Life was pretty simple for me, and from childhood I was taught to trust in the Lord. However, since I had a serious heart condition I was no longer about to go to school or play as other children would play.  I had to stay at home.

From the time I was nine I was pretty introverted. When I looked at other children I knew they could go to school and were active outside, so I was pretty timid. When I was fourteen years old I experienced God in a very special way. I can say that my condition began to improve a little and my fainting spells were not as bad as they had been. I remember on one occasion that my mother was cutting up meat and I fainted. Ordinarily any person would have hit their head and been injured; however, my arm protected me in a very amazing way and I suffered no injuries. Amazingly enough, from the time I was nine and until I was twenty-four it seemed that every time I had an attack that God was with me and protected me from harm. I truly experienced the Bible verse that tells us that a joyful heart is good medicine for the soul. (Proverbs 17:22) This verse really did make a big difference in my life.

I feel that if God desires to use a person then he can also heal them and prepare them for that. The God we serve is alive and is the true God. When I was twenty-four years old I was married. The doctor knew about my heart condition of course and told me that I should not have children. It could be life threatening. However, I did get pregnant and when time came to deliver the baby I didn’t have enough strength to give birth, so they had to perform a caesarean.  This is the Lord’s grace. I now have two well behaved children. They both accepted Christ when they were young. Through all of this I discovered that the Lord actually had healed me, and I am so grateful. As Pastor Lim said, it is a blessing for me to grow up in a Christian home and to pass the Gospel along to the next generation.

I do have another testimony to share. When my husband was continuing his education, I along our child moved to another city. It was during this time of transition that I developed another health issue and was also losing blood. Of course I knew there was a problem but I wouldn’t dare go to see a doctor. A lady that I knew told me that she would go with me to see her doctor. Well, the doctor was surprised and said that I had a pretty large tumor and immediately needed surgery to remove it. When I returned home I just collapsed and cried out to God. Why would God allow from childhood on into adulthood for me to have so many difficult issues like this? I kept asking, why me. My husband was away studying, and I was by myself dealing with these feelings. As I read the Bible, Isaiah 30:20-21

20 And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers. 21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.

As I read that scripture the Lord spoke to my heart, strengthened me and I was ready to have the surgery. However, when I arrived at the hospital they told me that they didn’t have enough of the prep resources to use before surgery, so they told me to come back in two days. Then in two days I experienced the same thing. So the third time that I arrived to have surgery, they wanted to do another exam to check on the tumor. However, they looked everywhere around the area and never could find the tumor. They didn’t know if it had burst or what happened to it. But even after four years the tumor had not returned. I know that God healed me. He not only healed my physically but also spiritually as well. At that time I was very weak, but God gave me strength. So once again I experienced that God is real and alive.

When I came to Singapore I also brought a lady with me. In just a few minutes I would also like to share her amazing testimony with you. In China she was a business lady who was a well-known boss with a lot of responsibility. Even though she was very wealthy with 5 or 6 cars and a lot of money, her marriage was really in shambles. She had money, but no matter what she did to find happiness, she never had peace. However, there was a lady who told her that what she needed was to trust in Jesus. This wealthy lady had ready every book about marriage, happiness, etc. and tried everything but Jesus. So she decided to check it out. At first she just politely listened, but the more she heard the more it touched her heart. The marriage had been so bad with many problems. After accepting Jesus, she gave up everything, took her child and left. Christ really began to change her life. Now she is able to help a lot of young people in their lives. Jesus really does change lives and gives us hope.

Pastor Lim shares:

Today we have heard two different kinds of testimonies. However, in Christ we see our lives transformed. We have hope, and we have peace. You too can receive Jesus as the Lord of your life. In order to do this, please follow me as I pray.

Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you. You are Lord and Savior, and you came to this world to save us from evil and sin. At this time, please use your precious blood to cleanse us from our sin. Please come into our hearts and be our Lord and Savior, so that we will follow you for the rest of our lives, and never leave you. We want to receive your peace, joy and your hope. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

God bless you.

Hokkien Testimony #44

Hokkien Testimony #44

Today we welcome you to the 44th testimony in our Hokkien Harvest series. Each week we have different people from different churches share their stories with us. Today Pastor James Lim interviews Mr. David Ho. Let’s listen now to his Hokkien story. An English summary is also provided below.

David Ho’s testimony:

To begin my story, I was 13 years old when I accepted Jesus. My teacher led me to Christ. I have three older brothers and four older sisters. So even though I was the youngest in my family, I was the first to become a Christian. My mother had to work hard taking care of the house and feeding animals like chickens or pigs as well as taking care of other jobs. It was a lot of work. After I became a Christian I really wanted my parents to also accept Christ. When I was 22 my father was diagnosed with cancer. Earlier I had bought a large Bible and was trying my best to study it. When I found out that my father had cancer, I told him about Jesus.

Earlier when I accepted Christ I didn’t let my parents know about this.  I would sneak out of the house and go to church. However, when I found out that my father had cancer I wanted to tell him about Jesus. I spoke with him and he asked me if I had a Bible. He began to read the book of John and read the entire book. At that time Billy Graham had also been to Singapore and someone shared several of his evangelistic tapes with us. My father listened to all three tapes as we translated. I asked him if he wanted to receive Jesus, but I really didn’t know how to talk with him about this. So I went to church and asked an Elder in the church if he could come and share with my father. I told him that my father was in his 70’s and had cancer. The Elder himself spoke Cantonese, but since my father only spoke Hokkien, he invited a Hokkien friend to come with him. He shared Christ with him and my father accepted Jesus.

It was interesting that after my father left the hospital he didn’t want to come inside the living room. He wanted to stay outside. Whether it was rainy or very hot and sunny, my father still remained outside. He said that he could come inside; however, we would have to remove the idols first. My mother was very angry and rebuked him and refused to do this. At this time he returned to the idol practices that he had known all his life. Since I was the youngest in the family I really couldn’t say much. He was elderly but I did believe that he had asked Jesus into his heart.

When I was about 40 years old my church asked me if I was willing to serve as a pastor. I had a family and thought about it and I felt that God was really calling me to serve in this way. Every day I would go and check on my mother. She was still living in the house. At that time she was in her 70’s. One day when I went to check on her, I found her sick. She didn’t want to go out of the house. At that point, I asked her to come live with me because since she lived alone and if something happened to her no one would know. So she agreed to come to our home. There were no idols there. I also hosted a family worship group in my home each week. The group leader would come early and use Hokkien to share with my mother. My mother was not educated so she couldn’t read or write. At first when the group came to my house, my mother would stay in the background. However, she gradually drew closer until she was invited to join the group and she willingly accepted. The group used Hokkien with her and each time encouraged her to come to church. She always said ok, but wasn’t really willingly to follow through with it. However, one day when I invited her to go with me, she agreed.

I told the Lord, even though the church had asked me to serve as a pastor and I had not yet answered that call, I made a request of God that my mother would accept Jesus. When she went to church with me one of the pastors asked for anyone who wanted to receive Jesus to raise their hands, and she did. I was so moved and agreed that I too was willing to follow Jesus and serve as a pastor.

When my mother came to live with us, we took the idols out of her house. My mother lived to be 94 years old and just passed away. At first because family members were not Christians she was not baptized. However, she later told me that she was ready and had accepted Jesus. There is one Hokkien song that was very special to my mother, “Hold My Hand’, and it was part of her funeral.

There is also more to my story. One of my brothers had a daughter who was an airline stewardess and a very beautiful sweet girl. However, she was diagnosed with cancer. I shared Christ with her and she accepted Jesus into her heart. Within three months she passed away. Before she died she told me that she has already prepared to meet Jesus and asked me to baptize her. I told her that I was willing to baptize her, but only if she had her parents’ permission. So she asked them, and they both agreed for her to be baptized.  I had two purposes in this. First of all I wanted them to give their permission and see this happen, but after the baptism I also wanted to share the gospel with my brother and sister-in-law.

I had to leave for a conference in Australia, but the second day I received a call saying that my niece had passed away. So I immediately bought a ticket to return home. However, when I arrived at the airport I couldn’t find my passport. I was trying to think what I should do, go to the Embassy or what. However, I first called the church where I had been and asked them to search for me. Praise the Lord, they found it.

My brother told me that since his daughter was a Christian they wanted me to handle the funeral service. My brother and sister-in-law have not yet accepted Jesus; however, as Pastor Lim said, we must continue to pray for my brother and his wife that they will come to Christ. The Bible tells us that when we accept Jesus that our family can also come to Christ. So one by one we see how God opens the doors for people to know him as Lord and Savior.

Pastor Lim shares:

Brothers and sisters thank you for participating in our Hokkien testimony time today. As you listened or read this testimony I am sure that you realize that Jesus really is wonderful and desires to help us. Today you can also experience this by following me in prayer to ask Jesus into your heart. You can receive eternal life and experience his blessings. If you desire to do this, then follow me as I pray.

Dear Jesus, I thank you for being my Lord and Helper. At this time I admit that I have sinned. Please forgive me, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I ask you to lead and bless me. This is my prayer. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

May God bless you.

Hokkien Testimony #43

Hokkien Testimony #43

Today we welcome you to the 43rd testimony in our Hokkien Harvest series. Each week we have different people from different churches share their stories with us. Today Pastor James Lim interviews Sisters Lin Ya Jaio. Let’s listen now to her Hokkien story. An English summary is also provided below.

Sister Lin Ya Jaio testimony:

I came to Singapore when I was very young in order to go to school. If you listen to me talk you will know that I have an accent from the Chinese province, Choan Chiu, where I was born. I was very focused on my education and later became a teacher. Some people say that teaching is the best profession for a woman. I have been a teacher now for more than 30 years. During that time I also married and started a family. I became a Christian in 1980. At that time my daughter was 7 years old and of course very precious to me. As Pastor Lim reminded us, there is a Chinese saying that it is easy to give birth to a child but not so easy to raise that child. I certainly agree with that.

When our child was born she already had a lot of physical challenges and spent a great deal of time in the hospital. She was sick for a long time, and she continually coughed. So of course we spent a lot of money on medical needs. During this time we tried everything to find a solution to our daughter’s health. We worshiped idols, drank water with ashes in it from the temple, and tried both western and Chinese medicine. However, no matter what we tried, nothing worked. It was a waste of time and money, because her health did not approve. We tried everything.

However, I have a co-worker who was like an angel to us. She knew that we had tried everything, but she told us that Jesus is the great physician and we should try him. She said that we should allow our daughter to accept Christ and that Jesus could heal her.  At the time I thought that I wouldn’t lose anything by trying. I had already tried everything else. So I allowed our daughter to go to church, but I didn’t go with her. I was afraid of losing face, since I worshiped local gods.  I had already worshiped these gods for so many years and didn’t feel that I needed to abandon these gods and worship another god. The main thing was that I wanted my daughter to be healed.

After our daughter started going to church I could see a real change in her. She had a deep understanding of the Bible and her health began to improve. She became stronger and stronger and time went on. I also noticed the smile on her face. She was different. As Pastor Lim reminded me, the Bible tells us that a joyful heart is good medicine. When we accept Christ and begin to change in our thinking, our health may also improve. As Pastor Lim said, the Christian faith has a positive outlook, full of hope. We are not abandoned or alone and are forward looking in our thinking. This kind of joy in our hearts helps us to become healthier.

Since I am a teacher I feel that I understand students pretty well, and I felt that way toward our daughter. After she started going to church, she was much more energetic and I was very happy to see this. However, about six months later she seemed to have regressed. She lost her energy and smile. I talked with my co-worker friend who had taken her to church. She said that our daughter went to church and was taught one thing; however, when she came home it was a totally different religious belief. It was like trying to grow two different flowers together. It just doesn’t work well. As a teacher I knew just what she was saying. For my daughter’s sake, I too must join her and accept Christ. That day, my friend led me to Christ.  I have never regretted making that decision. In fact, I have drawn closer and closer to the Lord.

I must say that when I accepted Christ, my husband and my mother and in-laws all disapproved of my decision. Since my husband is the oldest son, I had to think about my decision because I was very much involved in preparing things for family idol worship. Neither side of our family had any Christians in it, so this was a big challenge. I would be the first person to accept Christ and felt that I would probably run into a lot of dissention. They were very opposed. But my friend encouraged me and said that our God is all powerful and that I should pray about this so I would not experience severe persecution.  I made the decision to follow Christ. My husband traveled out of the country a lot, and during this time I was active in church. However, the day came when my husband also accepted Jesus. He saw the change in my life, and he too became a believer. He also saw that our daughter was healthy and had been healed. He also saw how my attitude and behavior toward him changed, and he too wanted Jesus.

My mother had worshiped idols all of her life, and she was very fervent about it. However, her requests were not granted. She had health issues. I didn’t want to push anything on her, but I began to share with her testimonies that I heard at church. I suggested to her that since she had tried everything else, she could go to church with me. The pastor prayed for her and her life was changed. She was transformed into a person who had more faith, peace and joy in her life. Many elderly people are afraid of death, but now that fear no longer exists for her. She is already in her 80’s. Our Lord is the overseer of life, and we don’t need to be afraid, but trust in him. All of life is in his hands.

Later my younger brother and his wife also accepted Christ and were truly blessed. My in-laws also received Jesus as well. When my mother-in-law was ill, she asked to be taken to church. So they too accepted Christ. When our entire family comes to Christ we receive an even great blessing in our lives.

Pastor Lim shares:

Today, once again through this testimony we see that Jesus is real. She, her daughter, husband, mother, younger brother’s family and her in-laws all accepted Jesus. This is a road of blessing for all of us. It is a bright road for us to travel. Life can be very dark and much like a crooked road, but in Christ we have peace and his protection as we journey through life. So if you trust Christ, your life will change. Do you want to accept the Lord Jesus? If you desire to do this, then follow me as I lead us in prayer.

Dear Jesus, you are my Lord and Savior. I thank you for coming to this earth and dying on a cross. You shed your precious blood to forgive my sin. At this time I ask you to forgive me of my sin. Please use your precious blood to cleanse my sin. I also ask you to come into my heart to be my Lord and Savior and be the master of my life forever. I know that you will never leave me. Please heal any sickness that I have and give me peace, joy and hope. Jesus, thank you for hearing my prayer. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Brothers and Sisters, if you have made this decision today, we hope that you will find a church nearby and worship with them so that you can better understand this real and living Jesus.

May God bless you.
